Outdoor Burning

Fire Restrictions were lifted December 9, 2017.

Please see the list below for prohibited and allowable items for Incline Village and Crystal Bay:

 Prohibited:

Fireworks (to include sparklers) 

Charcoal, solid fuel (wood) barbecues, and camp fires on any beach 

Charcoal and solid fuel (wood) barbecues on US Forest Service Lands (must have a USFS permit for a LP stoves) 

Outdoor wood burning fireplaces or fire pits

Floating/flying lanterns 

Burning of pine needles

Any type of burning (e.g. fire barrels,  etc..)

Tiki torches 

Allowed:

Propane or gas barbecues (must meet the clearances per manufacture recommendations or standard 36 inch clearance from combustibles)   

Charcoal barbecues (must also meet  manufacture clearance recommendations or the minimum standard of 10 feet clearance from combustibles)

Candles  

Gas or propane fit pits (recreational burn permit required)

Please contact the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District for further information.  The Fire District’s administrative office building is located at 866 Oriole Way, Incline Village, Nevada and is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., except state and federal holidays.
